What are Map Signs?
The Map Signs plugin on Bumfuzzlertopia is a great edition to Facepunch’s Rust game that allows you to add an image of the server’s map onto a sign in a number of different ways. You can put the map on one sign or spread it across multiple signs.
The Map Signs functionality is unlocked by accumulating Loyalty points (/loyalty) on Bumfuzzlertopia.
Map Signs Commands
Here are the commands for the Autodoors plugin:
- /sm – displays the map sign help text
- /sm undo – will undo the previously generated map sign and refund your items
- /sm gen 1 1 – will generate a 1 x 1 map grid. This means it will place the map on a single sign.
- /sm gen 1 1 <nr|norotation:optional> – will generate a 1 x 1 map grid. Will disable correcting the rotation of the sign
- /sm gen 2 2 – will generate a 2 x 2 map grid. This means it will place the map across 4 different signs.
- /sm gen 3 3 – will generate a 3 x 3 map grid. This means it will place the map across 9 different signs.

Map Signs Tips
Using Map Signs is a great way to mark landmarks or important sites like bases you’d like to raid, your friend’s bases, large quantities of ore, etc. Once you create the sign you can press the USE key on it and add markings to the map to designate where those landmarks are.
